-Played whatever role was needed for his team, which finished alone
in third place in the Red. Led his squad is scoring (17.9 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg). Had 30 points and 13 rebounds versus
Port Huron.
Blake Cushingberry

6’4” Junior Guard\Forward
- The most versatile player and toughest match-up
in the conference. Averaged 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting over 40% from three
point range.
Kyle Hunt

- No player played better down then stretch then
Hunt. Averaged 21.7 in his last nine games. For the year 17.1 ppg in addition
to over 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Scored 36 points vs. Port Huron Northern.
Erik Thompson
L’Anse Creuse North 5’11” Junior

- At times carrying his team, but always willing to share
the ball. Averaged 17.3 points 5.7 assists and nearly four steals a game. Scored 30 points in district win over Port Huron. Our Mac White MVP pick.
Todd Pfromm

6’5” Senior Forward
- Physical inside presence with a nice touch from beyond the arc. The
Patriots leading scorer averaged a double-double at 17.1 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Had 19 points 15 rebounds vs.
Madison.
Doug Sharples

6’5” Senior Forward
-The most explosive member of the conferences best team. Averaged 14 points and 7.1 rebounds while totaling
over 30 blocked shots and steals. Had 31 points against Ford II in a Bulldog victory.
JC Cruse
Grosse Pointe South 6’3” Senior
Guard\Forward
- Senior captain and leading scorer for the 15 win Blue devils. Averaged
15.1 points per game. Scored 24 points in wins against Eisenhower and Ford II.
Chris Lemm
Chippewa Valley 5’11”

- Athletic and as a pure a shooter as the conference has to offer. Was the Mac Red’s regular season scoring
leader at 18.0 points per game. Had a season high 34 points in opener against Port Huron.
Kyle Wilson
East Detroit
5’10” Senior
Guard
- The coaches pick for Mac Blue MVP; Senior was the one constant for his team. Leading scorer at 14.3 ppg also
the team’s leader in assists.
Glenn Bryant
Dakota
6’7” Sophomore Forward
-Extremely athletic with phenomenal upside; Bryant became the Cougars leading scorer in his first season. Averaged
14.1 points per game. Had 28 against Southfield and 20 points and
13 boards vs. Ike.
Ronald Wilson
Sterling Heights 6’4” Senior
Forward
-Ignited a strong start for the Stallions by scoring 20 or more points
six times in the teams first ten games. Finished the year averaging 16.7 points per game. Totaled 27 points and 12 rebounds
vs. Ford.
Steve Chojnacki

6’3” Senior Forward
- Stepped into starting role and excelled early. Finished the year averaging
13.5 points a game for Mac white champs. Had 27 points in upset of Cousino and 25 points against Utica in UCS holiday shootout.
Dwight VanHoesen
Grosse Pointe North 6’1” Senior
Guard
- Averaged 16 points and 3 assists a game for the Norseman. Three year member of the varsity and twice the
top scorer. Had 33 points against Harper Woods.
Sean Mattia
Sterling Heights 6’0” Senior
Guard
-Scoring totals went down, but efficiency went up in his senior season.
Point guard averaged 14.8 points per game while leading the Stallions in assists. Scored 24 points against Anchor Bay.
Jake Schirmer
Romeo
6’6” Senior Center
-The blue collar muscle of the Bulldog frontline. Averaged 10.0
points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Had double doubles at Chippewa (15 points and 10 rebounds) and Utica (16 and 12) in league play.
James Stallons
Dakota
6’6” Senior Forward
- Wisconsin football commit and
sharp shooting wing averaged 11.4 points per game for the late peaking Cougars. Scored
17 points in season finale against South Lake. Topped 15 points six times.
Chris Blain
Utica Eisenhower 6’5” Senior
Forward
- Senior emerged as the Eagles best scoring threat down the stretch.
Scored 20 or more 3 times in his final 5 games. Averaged 11.7 points per game; had season high 23 points against Chippewa Valley.
Nick Kosovich Romeo
6’1” Junior Guard
- Talented junior mixed in nicely with established nucleus. Averaged
9.6 points, five assists and three rebounds per game. Scored 19 points at Fitz and had 15 points and 8 assists against Chippewa Valley.

- Defensive heart and two year co-captain of back-to-back Mac Red champs.
Averaged 8.9 points, 6.1 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Had 9 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists against Utica.
P.T. Shirer
Grosse Pointe South 6’6” Junior
Center
- Surprisingly nimble and versatile big man gave Devils an inside presence and second leading scorer at 11
points a night. Also a force on the glass recording three double doubles in January alone.
Bernard Edwards
Warren Cousino 6’4” Junior
Forward
- Strong and athletic with inside out game and ability to put the ball
on the floor. Averaged 12.4 points 5.3 rebounds per game. Scored 20 vs. Denby
and averaged 17 a game in the teams’ two losses to Ford.
Jon Goike
Stevenson 6’4” Junior
Forward
- Despite injuries averaged over 12 points a game to lead the Titans.
Versatile player can score inside and outside and has been a three year starter for Stevenson.
Mike Nieman

- Brings energy, intensity and smooth shooting to the Crusaders
back court. Averaged 12.1 points and more then three assists for LCN while guarding the oppositions best perimeter player.
Mike Chinneck

- Versatile guard who finished in the top three in points rebounds and
assists for his team. Senior co-captain averaged 9 points and near 5 rebounds and 4 assists a game. Had 18 points in win at Dakota.
Ryan Setter

6’4” Senior Center
- Emerged as a go-to-guy for a team that desperately needed one. Tallied
multiple double-doubles en route to averaging 12.5 points per game for the youthful Ramblers.
Nate King

- Does all the little things it takes to win. Unselfish
third option for Mac white champs. Averaged 10.2 points per game and was a force on the offensive glass,
Rob Martin

- Second leading scorer for the Big Reds. Dangerous from beyond the arc.
Named most improved player in the Mac Red conference. Finished at 9.6 points per game; scored 17 points at Romeo.
Adam Desmet Anchor

- Led the Tars in scoring at 12.5 points. Also averaged almost three steals and three assists a game for Anchor Bay.

games with sound decision making and leadership by example. Averaged 6 points and over 5 assists a game. Three year starter for the Falcons.
